Gingerbread Trifle

This was my FAVORITE holiday dessert I tried last year!! So unique and will be a hit at your parties! Can be made ahead, it was so delicious even 3 days later when I brought it to my parents house to enjoy! Recipe was inspired by (liveloveandsugar) on Pinterest!

Ingredients:
  • 16 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 20 oz cool whip (divided)
  • 14 oz gingerbread cookies
  • 1 cup caramel syrup (divided)
Directions:
  1. In a large bowl beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  2. Add cinnamon, molasses, and milk. Mix until smooth.
  3. Stir in 8 oz of cool whip.
  4. In a large trifle dish, break up half the cookies for the bottom layer.
  5. Top the cookies with half of the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Top cream cheese mixture with half of the caramel sauce.(Place gingerbread cookies around the edges for extra cuteness!)
  7. Top caramel sauce with 6 oz cool whip.
  8. Repeat steps!
  9. Save back one cookie for garnish on top!
