4th of July Recipes and Outfits!

You need to have some patriotic outfit options prepared. Whether your 4th of July style is subtle, or going all-out, it's so much more fun to go with the theme! I like to have a few different styles of things ready to go. Everything from swimwear for a pool party, casual cook-out outfits, and even cute dresses.

I found this tank online, and knew I had to have it for all the upcoming festivities. It's so soft, flowy, and has the cutest little foil stars. I tied it up in this photo for a tighter fit.

Smocked is everywhere this summer, so this crop top is the perfect piece to wear on the 4th. I love the bright red color, and button detail.

I definitely have to wear this top somewhere! Keyhole and knot detailing make this crop top sweet and patriotic.

Bring on the stripes! Love this red and white striped dress which tie and button details.

White smocked top, denim, and red/white/blue hair scarf is the perfect easy 4th of July outfit.

This swimsuit is giving me all the retro Americana vibes. From ShopGoldyLox. Also, these retro sunglasses are the perfect addition to your 4th of July look.

Other 4th of July inspired pieces I love below!

Here's a few simple 4th of July dishes that you could take to a barbecue, or just make at home!

Patriotic Snack Tray

Something similar caught my eye on Pinterest, because it looked so easy! You could prepare this super quick, and is great if you don't want to cook.

For this I used

strawberries
blueberries
raspberries
apple slices
yogurt-covered pretzels (could also use white-chocolate)

Hot Dog Sparklers

These are super fun for the kids (and adults too!)

Bacon-Jalapeno Deviled Eggs

People devour deviled eggs at every event I go to, and these are a fun spin on a classic!

Spicy Crab Dip

16 oz cream cheese (softened)

1 small onion (finely chopped)
5 tablespoons mayo
16 oz imitation crab meat (flake style)
2 cups shredded parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
1 teaspoon cayenne powder (skip if you don't want it spicy)
pinch of garlic powder, salt, and pepper
something to dip! I used crackers.

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Combine all ingredients, and spread into baking dish.
3. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until browned and bubbly.
