Christmas Home Tour 2018

I'm so excited to show you guys our home for the holidays! Christmas is my favorite holiday to decorate for, and I have worked so hard this last week getting everything done. Since having kids, it's been really important to get all the gift-buying and decorating finished in November. I just want to relax in December, and fully enjoy the season with my family.

I styled our entry way cabinet using a frosted twig garland from Hobby Lobby.

And then added these two cute decor pieces. This is seriously so easy. All you need is a glass container, and leftover ornaments. It looks really fancy with little effort. Another simple decoration is a pinecone bowl.

For our dining room table, I wanted to use these frosty trees from the Target dollar spot, and the reindeer from Hobby Lobby. I bought the runner at TJ Maxx. I don't have all the fancy plates and silverware out this year, because I wanted to keep it accessible for family dinners.

Our family tree! This one is so special to us because it holds all our precious keepsake ornaments. From mine and Cory's baby ornaments, to ones we've recently got on our family vacations. The girls loved helping. They really got into the spirit, and put on all their own ornaments.

This year is super exciting because Thea is old enough to enjoy everything! These are truly the most magical years of my life.

This year in the sitting room I went with a blush pink and gold theme. I got the furry ball ornaments and blush flower picks at Hobby Lobby.

I love draping greenery along the staircase. I added ribbon, and extra silver and white ornaments. These are where the stockings go until Christmas morning. (since we don't have a mantle on our fireplace.)

Seriously nothing better than sipping coffee and admiring all your hard work.

The topper! Over 200 picks went into this tree, and 3 rolls of ribbon. It's taken me years to acquire everything. I try to pick up a few new items each season.

I also only use extra-large ornaments on this tree. Once I put it on a stand, it's 9 feet tall.

My "glam Santa". I wanted one of these forever and finally picked one up at Hobby Lobby last year. I don't have much decor in the kitchen yet. Once we start baking, I use our treats as decorations on various platters.

In the powder room, I added this gold-glitter reindeer and twisted gold tree. Both are from TJ Maxx.

Lux has been the biggest helper this year. She worked with me on this all week. Today it took us 5 hours to finish the upstairs decorating, and she never stopped working. I'm super lucky to have her!

Lux's tree she decorated herself! This was actually my tree when I lived in the Indiana University dorms (Briscoe). It has various donuts, lollipops, ice cream, and cupcakes.

Lux's cute little desk area. She picked out the 3 little trees from Target last night. Every new holiday or season, I switch out the books in the shelf. We now have all our Christmas favorites on display!

The girls love playing with their nativity set. Lux has had it since she was a baby. This helps them to remember the real meaning of Christmas.

Thea's nursery is a sweet pink and white theme. I love how much she "ohhs" and "ahhs" at her tree at night.

We found these little trees at the Target Dollar spot last night.

I threw together this cute little setup in the girl's bathroom. I found the tree, "Fa la la" sign, and glitter reindeer all at Hobby Lobby. The hand soap is from Bath & Body.

This is our super-fun whimsical tree. I usually do a candy cane theme in our master, but I wanted to switch it up this year. I totally love how it turned out!

For this tree, I used everything I already owned, and just put it all together. I love doing trees in different, unexpected color combinations.

This is a little serving tray I styled with a reindeer (Target), TJ Maxx tree, and seasonal candle.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed
our decor, and got inspired for your own Christmas decorating.

I'm going to be doing another post soon, spilling my top tips for a fabulous tree.
