Our Love Story
I'm always so interested in hearing other couples' stories, so I thought I would write my own! Cory and I have been married for a little over 5 years now, and I'm still completely crazy about him. We are from the same town, but never really crossed paths. He is five years older than me, so we didn't go to high school together.
I used to work at Family Video, and he came in the store a few times. (I remember thinking he was cute!) We always had casual conversation, but were both dating other people. By the time I was getting ready to graduate high school, a mutual friend set us up.
We were inseparable that summer. We had a blast going to parties, dinner dates, movies, swimming, and just hanging out. I'm pretty sure I fell in love after a couple weeks. Haha! Everything was different after I knew him. It was like he was the only man in the world. We both knew we wanted to get married and have a family together after a few months of dating.
That fall, we both moved to Bloomington. I started my freshman year at Indiana University, and Cory moved into a townhouse with a friend. We had been dating only 7 months when we found out we were pregnant! That was not in our plan, but it ended up being the most amazing blessing. We got married when I was 3 months pregnant, and welcomed our first baby girl, Lux, in September!
I truly believe we have a once-in-a-lifetime love. He is just so special to me, and could never be replaced. I got super lucky to have him as a husband, and a father to our babies. The exciting part is that this is just the beginning of our life-long love story! :)
