Bling Wash from Living With Landyn

I absolutely love having a clean, sparkling ring! My jewelry gets so grimy, and it feels amazing to get all that gunk off and have it look brand new.
I've actually been doing this for the last few years, but after reading Landyn's post, I tried her exact method and liked it much better than my own!
This cleans the jewelry just as well, if not better, than when you get it professionally cleaned at the jeweler. I would suggest getting into a habit of doing this weekly!

The great thing about this is that you most likely have these items. You don't have to buy any special jewelry cleaners! All you need is..
  • Windex
  • Dawn
  • microwave-safe dish
  • microwave
  • soft toothbrush
I pour equal parts Windex and Dawn into the dish, and microwave the mixture for about 1 minute. CAREFULLY remove the hot mixture from the microwave.

Submerge the jewelry, and let is soak for at least 10 minutes. At this point I like to take out the toothbrush and give everything a gentle scrub. I rinse them off, and plop them back into the mixture for a final 5 minute soak.

Take the jewelry out, rinse with water, and dry with a paper towel.

Be sure to hold up the used mixture when you're finished, and take a look at all the gunk that was on your jewelry!!!
